The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that two adults were recently wounded when the truck they were riding in crashed head-on into a school bus in the city of Gloucester, NJ on February 18. Several students suffered minor injuries in bus accident. According to the article, the crash was caused when the truck crossed into opposing traffic and crashed into the bus.
The administration of National Highway Traffic Safety (NHTSA) reports that there were 33.808 accidents fatal car in 2009. A total of 10287 involved light trucks and 2.260 of those truck alcohol cause of accidents. There were 759.000 people were injured in accidents of light trucks.
The article didn't say whether the passenger truck on this particular crash wore seat belts. The NHTSA says that safety belts can reduce the number of deaths from traffic-front occupying 50% of traffic deaths involving occupants of SUV, pickups and minivans.
